After I left university and had spent some time travelling the world, I realised that it was time to start seriously thinking about my career.
I knew I wanted to work in a company that would allow me to progress and reap the financial rewards of working hard. I had seen an advert for Foxtons and after visiting the headquarters for my interview I knew this was the right company for me.
I was lucky to be offered the position of Sales Negotiator and started my career in the Balham office, where I worked for just under two years. It was a very exciting time as the office had only just recently opened. It was a fast-paced, busy working environment, the learning curve was steep but I quickly grasped all aspects of the business.
As a Sales Negotiator I hit my Cooper S car target, as well as the target for a number of trips, including one to Sun City in South Africa, which was a truly amazing experience.
Having sold a large number of properties and exceeded my goals, I was then promoted to join the Rare Sales team, allowing me to sell the most expensive properties we had on the market. I worked in this role for about seven months before moving to the Putney office as a Sales Valuer where I became the number one valuer in the region. This role gave me greater responsibility, which I really enjoyed, and provided me with a good grounding for my next promotion which was to Sales Manager for the Guildford Office.
The experience and training that I have gained from my time so far at Foxtons has been exceptional and has ensured that I am well equipped to manage a large sales team in a competitive market.
